We are VERY excited to launch the SDUK Podcast! We want to reach directors across the UK, which, pandemic aside, is difficult to do meaningfully. We have hosted many events in the mere 6 years SDUK has been in existence, and even before lockdown we had begun to re-assess how accessible our member events and activities were. We formed the idea of the SDUK Podcast in 2019, but it was lockdown that fortuitously gave us some amazing content with which to launch. The first few episodes will be the edited audio from our live Zoom masterclasses over the spring and summer of 2020, starting with Jonathan Butterell talking about taking ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’ from page to stage and screen. Future podcasts will include discussions around directing panto and directing for TV.
